Painting Questions and Answers

Does my estimate include all materials (paint, brushes, etc.)?

Yes, if you have your own paint, let us know, as it will change the price of your estimate. If more paint is needed than what you purchased, you will need to provide the extra paint for us to complete the job.
Do I need to remove ceiling fans, lights, or other fixtures?

We can remove all of those for you, but you are welcome to remove them yourself too.
What do I need to do to have the space prepped prior to arrival?

Please have as much furniture moved as possible. If something is too heavy, we may be able to assist or will be able to place a drop cloth over the item.
How long do I have to wait to clean my walls if they become dirty?
- Cure time is 7 days
- Only use a gentle cleaning solution i.e. Dawn dish soap
- Do not use Mr. Clean Magic Erasers due to it being extremely abrasive and will take the finish off of the paint.
Do I need to keep my animals out of work areas?

Yes, due to the safety of our team, please keep all pets out of work areas.
Do I need to be present when the painters come?

This is completely at the owner's (home and/or business) discretion if the painters have access to open up your home or business.
Can I call and receive an estimate over the phone if I have measurements?

To ensure an appropriate estimate, we will need to come visually to see your space in person. Sometimes minor patching needs to be completed, and walls need to be prepped a certain way, and mold may be on the walls, etc.
Are you bonded and insured?

Yes, we place that at the bottom of all our estimates.
Where does the paint come from?

We purchase our paint from Dixon Paint Company in Dixon, IL. We occasionally purchase from Sherwin-Williams. If you would like paint from another vendor, please let us know when we come for the estimate.
What if I need help selecting colors?

Please visit Dixon Paint Company, and they will be happy to help you choose the perfect color for your project. Once you visit, they will communicate your choices to us.
